Work in Poland

Since 2002, I am a teacher and researcher at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Structural Mechanics, Opole University of Technology.

Work abroad

2009-2012: 3-year stay at European Laboratory for Structural Assessment (ELSA), Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission, Ispra, Italy. Post-doc grant, project: Robustness of frame structures against accidental loading.

2002-2003: 12-month Marie-Curie Fellowship Training Site at European Laboratory for Structural Assessment, Joint Research Center, Ispra, Italy. Project: Damage detection of frame structures using vibration measurements.


2002-2007: PhD Eng., Faculty of Civil Engineering, Opole University of Technology, Opole, PhD thesis (with honors): Application of genetic algorithms in dynamic identification of damage distributions in beams and frames.

1997-2002: Master of Science. Faculty of Civil Engineering, Opole University of Technology, Opole, specialization: Building and engineering structures, MSc thesis: Vibration mitigation of tall buildings with tuned mass dampers under wind excitation.
